4 stars (awesome for the price) - We purchased this DVD player because it plays DVD-R format discs. This enables us to watch our archived videos on our TV, so that laptop use is minimal.



The screen is very bright (blue) and easy to read. It has many features accessible via remote (i.e. zoom, slow, etc) and functions quickly. Its slim design makes it able to fit in tight places, although like most other DVD players can only be set up horizontally. Installation was a breeze, and it functions well with our satellite, VCR, game cube, and TV.



For an off brand (off brand only because it is dwarfed by the bigger corporations; Sony, Toshiba) it performs better than I expected. A month after purchase, it is still running like new.
