Magix CD burnR deLuxe - Software Publisher's Description:
Magix CD burnR deLuxe review: 1 stars (Magix CD&DVD burnr deluxe) - The worst sftwr I've ever bought. A friend and I spent an entire afternoon trying to make it work before finally deciding it wasn't us but the software. It is not intuitive and is poorly written. IRS manuals are clear and concise compared to this garbage. Heed the other reviews, do not buy this software. 1 stars (Easy....NO WAY) - I have never in my entire life used or tried to use software so poorly written..they must have been laughing outload non-stop when they came up with the term "Quality CD and DVD burning Made Easy"....Made Easy....It is probably easier to decipher the Rosetta Stone than to burn a disk using this software...tried for three hours and the results.....wrist ached.... 1 stars (Do not buy this is terrible product! (NO STARS)) - I've bought some pretty bad software over the years, but this one is the worst! First off: the box claims "Quality CD & DVD burning made easy!" & "Effortless burning!" Well this program makes dragging & dropping files quite difficult. You can drag 30 files to burn to the disk and not all 30 seem to make it (if any make it at all). Second: Like someone else posted, it only burns DVD-RW (not an issue for me--I have no DVD burner) but it says nothing about it on the box. Third: there is no uninstall application!--That's the biggie for me. If a manufacturer doesn't supply an uninstall program, then you've just bought yourself a kind of virus, it's not worth buying. It will leave files in your PC's registery that you manually have to remove. For the inexperienced--seek help from someone who knows a lot about editing registeries. The other programs that come with this are a label-making program and a music editor. The latter would not work correctly on my three computers. Another issue I've had was burning a few data CD's with somewhat important information on it with the "Do not change filenames" option checked automatically. This means that really long filenames will not be automatically shortened so a computer or any other optical disc drive can read them--nor will a warning box pop up telling you to rename some long file names. In fact, the burning software program can't even read it after it burns it. I always hated it when I had NERO's burning software, but now I see that it's a blessing. This is a really terrible program and I wouldn't even give it away! What a waste of $40. It really is worth paying more for a more stable, well-known product. Avoid this one at all costs! These people are criminals!
